still....no.

and summing up my sentiments, a quote from hadley freeman: "Many a poem, many a song, many an ode has been written about the human face, but I have yet to read one that suggests it might be improved by the addition of a pair of wonkily shaped plastic glasses in some kind of neon colour"

They might be cute with a light blue summer dress! ;) while eating a wonka bar! Do you have your golden ticket?

oh dear god, i just feel like it's this funny trend to NOT look trendy. sort of a buck toward the giant $400.00 tom ford glasses. but instead, they have become a trend. and an unflattering one at that.

a pair of vintage tortoise shell wayfarers, with the green lenses (as one commenter mentioned) would be far cooler. these just look wonky

I decide to let my tom ford at home this summer, to tired to see them on everybody... and I had just bought those turquoise wayfarer!!!!! difficult to wear but so fun for the summer time!

did you really? omg. so funny.i'm so curious why so many people are into this look. it's especially funny to see a entire group of people all wearing these.

i agree, the tom ford glasses need to be put to rest. i'm all about old school rayban aviators. they look good on everyone and are totally inconspicuous. ie-not trying too hard.

I love hadley! i just finished reading a really funny article she wrote about being banned from fashion shows. they're so much cattier over there than US reporters are!

ya, hadley tells it like it is, like it or not. very catty.

i love that she's been banned for not playing nice. i can't imagine being in the fashion world. it's like jr high for adults. and without each other, they'd have no audience.

but what i love about fashion, is that it's another form of self expression. what i may not like, someone else will love. and that's how it should be.

You know, I didn't think Ray Bans were cute in any way in the '80's. It gives me the shivers to see them on anyone now.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who is aghast at seeing the worst of eighties fashion making a comeback. I was out and about in SF this past weekend and I can't tell you how shocking it is to see so many people (oddly more men than women) wearing not only the bright sunglasses, but the 80's style clothing and the eighties hair (again more men than women, but still). Eek!
